Dr. Saikat Basu is a researcher specializing in deep learning and artificial intelligence, particularly applied to satellite imagery. He earned his PhD in AI from the Department of Computer Science at Louisiana State University. Professionally, Dr. Basu has held positions as a Research Associate at NASA Ames Research Center and as a Research Scientist at Facebook (now Meta), where he worked with Python for 8 years, leading the AI efforts in the Maps team. Basu's extensive experience working on cutting-edge Python applications at Facebook and NASA has been instrumental in shaping our innovative learning platform.
